Meditation
Hello all,
For those of you who do not know, I am a Christian. I enjoy writing, speaking, and studying topics relating to my faith. I also love science and can’t wait to get my hands on the next big challenge to our human understanding. As an element to my blog, I have chosen to include some audio blogs, as well as audio versions of articles I have written for you to enjoy and comment on. For those of you who are not religious, this article titled “Meditation: What It Means to A Christian” can be useful in terms of meditation on your own life. Whether you believe in a God or not, and no matter who you believe that God is, this article can be applied to you. Just take the principles discussed here, and use them in your own way for your own benefit. Quiet time is something I feel that people lack in this present day and age, and i feel it has specific health benefits. So listen and enjoy this article I have written, and let me know what you think.

Actually, it has caused me to think and react differently to those around me. I’m more cautious to avoid falling into the same personal traps I used to. I don’t think it changes my opinion about others too much. If anything it causes me to forgive them and not be as angry or upset when others do things to me I didn’t quite like. It also reminds me to care for others even if I may not like them very much. ‘The Writing Guy’ of five years ago probably never cared much about meditation because I had substitutes. I had things that I could delve into that would cause me to ‘forget’ my problems. The problem is that once I got back into my daily swing my brain would be just as distraught as it was before I began. Now, with meditation, I can CONSCIOUSLY and ACTIVELY clear the troubles I struggle with from my mind, without having to cope with a ‘come down’ period where I suddenly realize my way back into reality. Now, I DEFINITELY do not think anyone should follow faith blindly…If you follow a faith blindly you are most likely a fool. Faith should be approached with hours of study and meditation and prayer. I follow my faith based on my logic, facts, and study. The small amount of faith I need to have to say “Jesus rose from the dead” is also backed up by eyewitness accounts, ancient or not. So you see…it isn’t blind faith that drives my love for God, it’s an understanding that rivals anything I may have ever known five years ago. My life is truly blessed. This is not to say I’m smart and others are dumb, it merely makes me eager to share with them the things I have come to learn and understand.
